An excellent value Fixed Frame screen from ScreenLabs suitable for Home Theatre and commercial applications. Easy to assemble with velcro fixing surface to ensure a flat projection surface. Border is finished in attractive black velour. This is a permanent solution screen which cannot be retracted. It looks like a picture on the wall. The main advantage is they produce a very flat surface for a fraction of the cost of a tab-tensioned screen. Ideal for dedicated projector rooms. The format of this fixed frame projector screen is 4:3 so it is best suited to 4:3 projector resolution such a SVGA or XGA. About Fixed
Non Retractable Screens are the permanent solution to hang on your wall. Non Retractable Screens have a unique slim frame - almost picture frame like so you have the minimum fuss on your wall. There are many surfaces for the frames to get different effects, and they can be either Fixed Frame Screens or Matt Dry Whiteboards. We can quote you for High Gain and HiDef Grey screens if you wish, just call us on 01189 070703. We do see Non Retractable Projector Screens being used in a variety of places from home cinema to boardrooms. Not very expensive and a good solution if you want a sleek finish. We do have lots of frame options so give us a call if you have something special in mind. You should match your shape (aspect ratio) of the image you are projecting to the shape of the screen. Aspect ratio is simply the ratio between the width of the picture and the height of the picture. The three most common aspect ratios are 1:1, 4:3 and 16:9. 1:1 is an old format based on overhead projectors - this is not going to be the solution for tab-tensioned screens as you will be having far too much unused white areas ruining the effect. 4:3 is traditionally a TV format although in recent times the trend is going more towards widescreen. Older PC's or laptops will display this format. 16:9 is commonly known as widescreen format, and is used for displaying film, modern PC's or laptops, DVD's or gaming. If you are going to use the tab tensioned projector screen for home cinema then this is the ideal format for you. If you are unsure what aspect ratio you are running with your PC/laptop then follow these simple steps: - right click on your desktop choose "properties" - within the properties tab choose "settings" - on the bottom left of the settings tab is the resolution numbers. 800 x 600 / 1024 x 768 / 1152 x 864 = 4:3 format. 1280 x 720 / 1920 x 1080 / 1600 x 900 = 16:9 format. 1280 x 800 = 16:10 Format. If you have a 1080p Projector then 16:9 is the correct format for a non retractable projector screen. If you wish to speak to our projector screen specialist then give Deborah a call on 01256 885860.

A few important things, all sizes are for the viewing not the canister so check out our page for the whole dimension size and measure. Get the right size for the room and audience. 2m is great for under 50 people. Short Throw projectors must use fixed flat surface screens.
