This is a body only projector and so you have the option to choose different lenses to which ever suits your needs from a short throw to a long throw. This is great if you have a few different needs for the projector as you can just change the lens instead of the whole projector.

There is also the older VGA input to connect to older laptops. For PC-free presentations use the USB port. For greater installation flexibility you can mount it 360 degrees. Call us if you need this installed as we offer this service and we can also help you with a screen too. The contrast ratio will make your darker areas appear more defined giving you that extra detail. It has DICOM simulation mode. This mode is ideal for viewing grayscale medical images, such as X-rays, for training and educational purposes. This projector has everything you need and has many more features, such as blackboard/whiteboard mode. Check out the PDF to the left for more information.

Features at a Glance

Long Life 20000 Hours Laser Light Source: Light source combines blue laser diodes and phosphor which can achieve over 7000 lumens. The projection image is bright and clear with vivid colours. Since lamp replacement is unnecessary maintenance cost is reduced and by not using mercury lamps the projectors are eco-friendly. Plus Hitachi’s unique cooling system can achieve a low noise level of 32dB. The life of the light source is approximately 20000 hours at normal mode but by using other modes which reduce the brightness or operation period its life can be extended up to 50000 hours. These mode settings can be used for different purposes depending on the application of the projector.
Accentualizer: Hitachi original technology makes pictures look more real by enhancing sharpness gloss and shade to make pictures as clear as pictures on a flat-panel device. You can also adjust the effects by three levels according to your surroundings so that the colours of projected images are the actual colours of the objects they represent.
Aspect Zoom: Aspect Zoom makes the maximum image size on the screen while keeping the aspect of the image.
HDCR2 (High Dynamic Contrast Range): When average projectors are used in bright rooms the darker colours of an image deteriorate and images become unclear. Using this function blurred images caused by room lighting or outside light sources are corrected and an effect similar to increasing contrast occurs. The recent enhancement to HDCR2 achieves not only auto tone enhancement but also auto colour enhancement. This results in clear and vivid images even in bright rooms.
Cloning Function: Copy setting data from one projector to others of the same model via USB memory. Cloning not only saves almost all PJ settings such as gamma and keystone via USB memory it saves countless hours in setup and installation.
Perfect Fit 2: Enables the user to adjust individual corners and sides independent of one another. Perfect Fit 2 provides vertical and horizontal digital correction of either barrel or pin cushion distortions. This feature helps correct geometric and complicated distortions. Perfect Fit 2 allows the projected image to fit correctly to the screen quickly and easily.
Projector Quick Connection App For Mobile Devices: Our iOS and Android applications offers projector control and also provides the capability to display photos document files and web site contents. Available for iPad iPhone and Android devices. Works over your LAN via your RJ-45 port or via an optional USBWL5G wireless adapter.
Input Source Naming: Users can name input sources in simple language instead of factory default names.

Network Control Maintenance and Security: Embedded networking gives you the ability to manage and control multiple projectors over your LAN. Features include scheduling of events centralized reporting image transfer and e-mail alerts for reactive and routine maintenance.
Status Monitor: With Hitachi’s status monitor you’ll have access in real time to projector diagnostics. Status updates include configuration information maintenance history as well as error and alarm messaging.
PC-Less Presentation: By using a USB memory stick or other storage device you can use the projector without a computer. Menus are easy to see with a thumbnail display. Additionally there is also a slideshow and video function.
PIN Lock / MyScreen / MyText: PIN lock protection can limit projector users. MyScreen PIN lock keeps captured images on the startup screen. Users can set any name logo to MyScreen clearly identifying ownership. MyText provides the ability to write text on the startup screen such as model name serial number or location.
DICOM Simulation Mode: Images in DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) Mode are reproduced with an advanced grayscale level. This mode is ideal for viewing grayscale medical images such as X-rays and for training and educational purposes. These projectors are not approved medical devices. About Conference Room

Buying a conference room sized projector is a large investment so it is important to find the best projector to suit your specific requirements. Here is a quick guide to getting the best conference room projector.

Firstly you hare a large audience so depending on how they are seated really depends on the brightness of the projector you are going to need. For instance if there are 200 people in 5 rows of 40 or 200 people in 20 rows of 10, clearly under the second example the people at the back of 20 rows are going to find it harder to see the image if the screen is too small. So you have to decide on your image size. Here are some sensible image sizes for certain audiences

3m - up to 100 people      4m - up to 200 People   5m - up to 300 people

Now you know your image size then you have to consider how far back you need to place the projector. A general rule of thumb on a standard lens projector is working on the basis of twice the distance back of the image width, so for the examples above the conference room projector would be placed 6m/8m/10m. If you need to be either further back or closer then you would probably have to buy what is known as a body only projector and then choose the additional lens which would give you the right throw ratio. This is a more expensive option as the additional lenses tend to be anything from £600-£2000. So it does make sense to try and have a set up for your conference that gives you the most cost effective solution. We really do suggest that buying on-line without having purchased a high end projector before might be better to ring one of our sales experts who will be able to save you money.

Depending on what you are intending to display and the quality you require does mean that there are several choices of resolution. If you are showing a basic Powerpoint presentation or spreadsheets then the choice would be either XGA or the wider version of XGA known as WXGA. If you are showing video content or HD content then 1080p which are full HD is popular as the quality is very good but they do tend not to have high lumens basically limited to 4000L so it may well be that it makes sense to go to the next resolution WUXGA which have more lumens.

Brightness which is measured as lumens is more important for a conference room projector than a standard projector because they will need to be bright. Nothing less than 4000L will do but again this is a specialised requirement and you should ask for help.

We have found that the "5 Series" of Infocus offer probably the best value and other good conference room projector brands are Panasonic & NEC as they both have a large range to choose from. If you want the WUXGA resolution then Canon are the best choice but they a bit pricey for most budgets. At the bottom of each page there is a more detailed guide about what to look for on a projector.

We provide advice on the phone listening to your requirements we are able to help you get the right one as we have trained staff . We have a network of installers to cover your area. On higher end models we can arrange a loan or demo. We think most people should buy HD resolution , they are so affordable now and you wouldn't buy a 5 year old laptop so why buy SVGA which is over 20 years old. Yes XGA & WXGA are ideal for simple presentations and education use but we have all been use to decent home TV's or high resolution phones or tables so why put a huge image on the wall/screen which is inferior. There are some great brands out there BenQ, Infocus, Epson and less known ones like EIKI or Vivitek. Yes you can buy the wrong one, this is why we still offer advice rather than just an add to cart website. We have a price promise, we see the models, we often put one against another and see which one is best. We only buy UK stock, which has higher warranty standards to ensure you get real value for money. We don't sell the cheap brands as the lumens isn't verified.  Look at our name it tells you that we are committed to this product and we have a great reputation in the market place for price and customer service.  We supply the UK but also in Ireland, we offer a 1-3 day service to Ireland.
