What BenQ say about the SW921+
To integrate seamlessly into the IT infrastructure of enterprise-class corporations, BenQ’s SW921+ is purpose-built to deliver crisp, high-brightness projection and maximum system flexibility to minimize renovation costs. Equipped with comprehensive features to assist installation, the SW921+ is designed for efficient projector mounting and optimization with minimal labor time and resources.
The SW921+’s 5,200 lm high brightness allows presenters and participants to conduct presentations in comfortably lit medium-sized conference rooms, with uncompromised debate, collaboration, note taking and interaction to achieve the most productive meetings. The high luminance provides professional picture quality for installers to satisfy stringent corporate standards.
The SW921+ delivers industry-leading levels of contrast and pixel fill factor, producing the truest blacks and exemplary image sharpness for unmatched readability in presentations and documents. High fill factor sharpens images for increased clarity on black and white documents and colorful images alike while reducing eye strain.
Big Zoom facilitates corporate adoption of new projection technology by making use of existing ceiling mounts and restricted spaces to deliver large-scale projected images. The 1.6x optical zoom feature allows SW921+ to project images between 30” to 300” within an ideal range of distance from the screen, avoiding costly renovation or lengthy installation downtime.
Digital image shrink allows installers to shrink the image to 75% of the original size in 0.5% increments via OSD menu, offering presenters an effortless way to precisely align projected images of any size fit well within the desired frame.
Lens shift compensates for minor miscalculations and misalignment during projector installation. Conveniently placed adjacent to the lens, this control enables vertical lens movement by 105%-107.5% within the projector chassis for perfectly aligned pictures without distortion.
The SW921+ is equipped with a two-dimensional keystone correction range of ±30o on both horizontal and vertical axes to counteract the trapezoid effect when the projector must be installed off-center. Installers can use Corner Fit control to adjust each corner independently for perfectly aligned image geometry.
Installers and IT managers can assign a specific remote control ID to each projector, avoiding signal interference and unintentional changes when multiple projectors are installed in a venue.
The SW921+ is widely compatible with leading projector control systems including Crestron, AMX and PJ-Link for network control via LAN, making it simple to integrate into corporate network infrastructures. The SW921+ also supports RS-232 for reliable long-distance Installations, up to 15 meters, for situations without LAN infrastructure.
MHL connectivity allows presenters to instantly share presentations and business documents directly from mobile devices via MHL cable or dongle. Also, the onboard USB port supplies 5V 1.5A power to HDMI dongles while making uninterrupted presentations.

Buying a conference room sized projector is a large investment so it is important to find the best projector to suit your specific requirements. Here is a quick guide to getting the best conference room projector.
Firstly you hare a large audience so depending on how they are seated really depends on the brightness of the projector you are going to need. For instance if there are 200 people in 5 rows of 40 or 200 people in 20 rows of 10, clearly under the second example the people at the back of 20 rows are going to find it harder to see the image if the screen is too small. So you have to decide on your image size. Here are some sensible image sizes for certain audiences
3m - up to 100 people 4m - up to 200 People 5m - up to 300 people
Now you know your image size then you have to consider how far back you need to place the projector. A general rule of thumb on a standard lens projector is working on the basis of twice the distance back of the image width, so for the examples above the conference room projector would be placed 6m/8m/10m. If you need to be either further back or closer then you would probably have to buy what is known as a body only projector and then choose the additional lens which would give you the right throw ratio. This is a more expensive option as the additional lenses tend to be anything from £600-£2000. So it does make sense to try and have a set up for your conference that gives you the most cost effective solution. We really do suggest that buying on-line without having purchased a high end projector before might be better to ring one of our sales experts who will be able to save you money.
Depending on what you are intending to display and the quality you require does mean that there are several choices of resolution. If you are showing a basic Powerpoint presentation or spreadsheets then the choice would be either XGA or the wider version of XGA known as WXGA. If you are showing video content or HD content then 1080p which are full HD is popular as the quality is very good but they do tend not to have high lumens basically limited to 4000L so it may well be that it makes sense to go to the next resolution WUXGA which have more lumens.
Brightness which is measured as lumens is more important for a conference room projector than a standard projector because they will need to be bright. Nothing less than 4000L will do but again this is a specialised requirement and you should ask for help.We have found that the "5 Series" of Infocus offer probably the best value and other good conference room projector brands are Panasonic & NEC as they both have a large range to choose from. If you want the WUXGA resolution then Canon are the best choice but they a bit pricey for most budgets. At the bottom of each page there is a more detailed guide about what to look for on a projector.
We provide advice on the phone listening to your requirements we are able to help you get the right one as we have trained staff . We have a network of installers to cover your area. On higher end models we can arrange a loan or demo. We think most people should buy HD resolution , they are so affordable now and you wouldn't buy a 5 year old laptop so why buy SVGA which is over 20 years old. Yes XGA & WXGA are ideal for simple presentations and education use but we have all been use to decent home TV's or high resolution phones or tables so why put a huge image on the wall/screen which is inferior. There are some great brands out there BenQ, Infocus, Epson and less known ones like EIKI or Vivitek. Yes you can buy the wrong one, this is why we still offer advice rather than just an add to cart website. We have a price promise, we see the models, we often put one against another and see which one is best. We only buy UK stock, which has higher warranty standards to ensure you get real value for money. We don't sell the cheap brands as the lumens isn't verified. Look at our name it tells you that we are committed to this product and we have a great reputation in the market place for price and customer service. We supply the UK but also in Ireland, we offer a 1-3 day service to Ireland.
