Additional Projectors Lens

These Lenses are designed to change the throw distance the models stated to meet your specific requirements.Projector Lenses enhance the functionality of your projector by providing a variety of zoom, long-throw and wide-angle viewing options. No matter what your application, screen size, or projection distance we have a replacement lens that will give you the image size and quality you need.

Data and video projectors with standard lens project a screen image size.  When you move a projector further away from the screen the projected image is larger. This is fine if you want to position your projector near the front of a conference room or lecture theatre but it can be preferable to mount a projector out of the way at the back. A long-throw lens is used to reduce the image size to fit a screen when the projector is mounted a long way away. A semi long-throw lens works the same but for shorter distances. Churches often use long throw lenses.

A short-throw lens works in the opposite way to a long-throw lens. Short-throw lens can be used when a projector is mounted very close to a screen to display a large image. This is often used in rear projection systems or for small classrooms or small conference rooms.

 A standard lens is normally, depending on different manufacturers, 1.1 up to 2.3. 1-2:1 means one to two metres back from the screen for a one metre image; 2-3:1 means two to three metres back from the screen for a one metre image.

Zoom lenses, either manual or automatic, allows you project smaller or larger images from the same distance. Video projection conversion lenses, wide angle and long throw are also available on the market which are placed in front of your projector's standard lens to increase
